My name is Mihaela Atomi and I'm teacher at Arts and Crafts"Simion Mehedinti" from Galati city, Romania.
Simion Mehedinti Highschool is a school that provides professional training for children aged 14-21. The number of pupils is 409, of which 265 are children requiring special education. The school is organized in two departments:
1. Mass education - 6 classes
2. Special Education - 26 classe. The children requiring special education suffer from the following disabilities: light and medium mental retardation; behaviour and emotional problems; speaking and writing problems, etc. Also, 0.5% of the total number of pupils are of rroms/belong to the rrom minority.
Last year we wrote a project entitled "The integration of young people with special needs in the Cultural Europe"..but we didn't sent it because we didn't find enough partners..We want to send it ...so that's away....we wrote you..If you know schools that are intersted please contact us...thank you very much for your help and support...
