Kivisto Kindergarten is looking for partners for Comenius School Partnership project.
Kivisto kindergarten (day care centre) is one of the 30 day care centres in Seinajoki (a city located in South Ostrobothnia, West Finland) and it is maintained by the city. Kivisto kindergarten is located in a beautiful location. We often make forest trips, where children can explore and play. We enjoy them very much. We got also playground and sportsfield nearby.
The kindergarten is meant for 1 to 7 year old children. We offer 62 full time places for children.
The kindergarten has also a pre-school. The pre-school is integrated into the normal day care but it has its own schedule, which is planned according to the Finnish preschool curriculum and in accordance with the early childhood education plan and our general principles.
We are open Monday to Friday from 6.30 am to 5 pm. Exception to these opening weekdays are some national holidays and school holidays .We are also closed twice a year for a planning day and we are closed every other June and July in turns with Kasperi kindergarten.
Our goals:
The main pedagogical goal in Kivisto Kindergarten is to support the comprehensive development and growth of a child. Our aim is to help a child to grow into as confident and creative person as possible. We want to offer children and their families a safe day care environment and a good day in day care. Each child has her/his own early childhood education plan which we plan together with parents.
